Foiled By Mars

Allgedily, last night was the last episode of Veronica Mars forever. The CW billed the episode as the "season finale" instead of the "series finale" like it did for Gilmore Girls and other shows. Could this be a sign of hope? Or do they want to keep the angry fans at bay?
